Roland recently released new sound content for the five + year old RD 2000.

It had been over two years since I last made upgrades to the RD 2000 Manager (my first MIDI Designer Pro 2 layout). I intended quickly update the tones (patch) listing, so the layout could recall the new patches. However, once I got into the layout, I realized that the new MDP2 capabilities available since the last update could significantly improve the layout in some areas.

RD 2000 Manager now includes
– Supports for the new German Concert Grand EXP
– new sound chain functional view
– Sympathetic Resonance editor (from the RD 2000 Piano Designers)
– UI improvements
